Horley AFC Reserves 0  Reigate Priory B  6

Reigate Priory B's travelled to Horley AFC Reserves, on a hot and beautiful saturday afternoon at Court lodge. The media and fans of both teams had billed this as a clash of the titans ! Speaking to the Priory manager Comben before the game he told me " this season we have a great squad to break into the top 4 ! " Comben had chosen not to spend big this summer, as he believes the clubs youth set up is more than capable of making an impact of epic proportions !.  Well the young stallions played a big part of this Priory performance, along with a balance of old war horses making a nuclease in the middle of the park . There were many chances created by the forwards Comben and Besley. then adding the raw passion and flair of the wingers Jones and Nye making space and taking the attack to the AFC full back who really could not tame these Ligers !
With half hour gone, Priory have not penetrated the AFC goal only due to some stubborn goal keeping . Priory kept knocking at the door, and one thing Priory learnt from this match, is if you keep knocking at the door, eventually somebody will have to answer it ! And nobody knew this more than Giles, with his awsom volley from just on the edge of the box, he  sent the ball home to the top left corner . Comben made it 2 just before the break.
A stiff drink and some strong words at half time, and Priory kicked up into another gear ,adding a 3rd from Besley who played with a magical quality ! Will blake who had just about won every header and tackle with his partner in crime Giles , started to dominate. Comben got his hatrick and Jones finishing of AFC with the 6th . If this was a boxing match it would have been stopped ! The introduction of Peters and Butters just help seal this 6-0 victory.
Milne has his first clean sheet and a fine performance from him as he stopped a one on one to ensure a job well done .
