BREAKING NEWS

It has been confirmed that Reigate Priory will be playing their football in the Surrey Elite Intermediate League next season 2010/11. Any player who is interested in trialling for the club should contact the 1st Team Manager Andy Davies.

The Elite League has been a great success with the opportunity to come up against the top intermediate clubs in the area and playing at better grounds and surfaces. Despite losing some quality players at the beggining of the season Priory have battled hard to survive their first season at this level and survived by one point to finish 12th just outside the Relegation Zone.

Priorys Reserve Team also did well, finishing in 7th position.

The Club are now gearing up for the start of the new 2009/10 season with much to do.In the summer of 2008 Priory completed certain improvements i.e roping off of pitch, installing dug outs and some brand new goals. This summer, work to finish improvements to the showers and installing a shower room in the referees changing area are planned.

THE ELITE LEAGUE 2008/09

SURREY ELITE CHAMPIONS 2008/09 - EVERSLEY FC

RUNNERS UP - LIPHOOK UTD

SURREY INTERMEDIATE CUP WINNERS - BATTERSEA IRONSIDES FC

This season has been quite exiting despite the club being in the relegation battle. With the League set up to be 16 teams , taken from the Surrey South East Combination, Surrey County Intermediate League(Western) and other neighbouring Intermediate leagues it was not long before the Division took shape. The top teams that emerged were Eversley , Epsom Eagles , Liphook Utd , Horsley and Battersea Ironsides. A middle section of Epsom Athletic , Croydon Greenside , Milford & Witley , Old Rutlishians and Elm Grove. Then the survival zone of Reigate Priory , Woodmansterne Hyde, Esher Athletic , Tongham and Holland Sports. With Holland Sports withdrawing from the league in the new year , four teams were left in the relegation battle.

Priorys survival aims were complete following Woodmansternes loss at Battersea Ironsides 5-0.

ELITE TEAMS IN THE SURREY CUP

The Elite teams have done well in the Surrey Intermediate Cup with Priory getting through to the 4th Round before getting knocked out by Epsom Eagles. It was an Elite side that eventually won the cup and congratulations go to BATTERSEA IRONSIDES for beating BLETCHINGLEY 3-1 in the final.

HOSPITALITY IN THE ELITE LEAGUE.
