3rd January 2010 -Priory started the New Year with a much needed win away to Oxted & District. With both teams in search of points in this lower table clash it was Priory who were creating the better chances. It eventually took a Luke Reid penalty and a confident stricke from Dean Abbot to secure the victory.
20th December 2009 -With the weather plaing havoc with the fixtures , only the Reserve Team fixture at Epsom Eagles survived. For the Reserves Christmas came early as a good all round performance saw them overcome Eapsom Eagles Reserves 5-2 with goals from Keeling,WilliamsD,WilliamsJ and Craig Martin. For once Lomas had a smile on his face!
13th December 2009 -Priory had a great result in the 4th Round of the Surrey Intermediate Cup overcoming Epsom Athletic 2-0. Priory make the last 16 and have an away tie to Farleigh Rovers Reserves. Priory Reserves put in a spirited performance away to Spelthorne Sports however evetually went down 3-0. Priory A had a tough day losing 8-1 to Reigate Hill Reserves.
6th December 2009 -Priory went quietly out of the QF of the Elite Challenge Cup 4-0 away to Wandgas Sports. Priory Reserves were in the game against Spelthorne Sports until the final minutes when the flood gates open and lost 5-1. Priory As just went down 1-0 to Overton Athletic. The pick of the Youth were the Under 9s who beat West Byfleet Scorpions 10-1 to go top of their division.
29thNovember 2009 -Priory earnt a well deserved point away to Horsley at the weekend but still need to start turning in some wins if they are to move up the table. Congratulations to the Reserves as they won their first game of the season with a 3-1 win over Royal Hoolloway OB Reserves with 2 goals from Matt Moss and a goal from Matt Keeling. The As lost 4-1 to Alliance and the Bs lost out in a tight game with Horsley AFC Reserves.
Lions Pride as RP Lions went top of their division with 3-2 win over AFC Rhodrons.
The pride of the Youth Section is the Under 9s who following their 2-1 win over Stanley Park Dynamos moved into 2nd SpotThe Under 14s lost to AFC Ewell,Under 11As lost 4-0 to Worcester Park,Under 11Bs Won 2-1 to Kingswood Terriers,and the Under 10Bs Drew 1-1 to Ashtead Colts D.
22nd November 2009 -Priory progressed to the next round of the Surrey Cup with a win over Hammer Utd 3-2. Priory Reserves were seeking their first win but is was not to be as they went down 1-0 away to Oxted & District. The As had a good win over Holland Sports 4-1, however the Bs lost 6-3 to Nutfield A. Priory Lions beat Fetcham Utd 5-1 to go top of their Division.
16th November 2009 -Last weekend saw a complete washout of the saturday fixtures with Priorys County Cup tie against Hammer Utd now scheduled for this saturday. Two games survived sunday. Reigate Priory Lions notched up another victory with a 2-0 win over Epsom Rangers taking them up to second in the table. Priory U12s won their game against Roundshaw Colts B winning an eleven goal thriller 6-5.
9th November 2009 -Priory were comprehensively beaten by local rivals Bletchingley at the weekend 6-1.Priory Reserves went to Woodmansterne Hyde weakened following 1st Team call ups. Priory A just lost 3-2 to Limpsfield Blues Reserves.
Next weekend a break in the Elite action as Priory face Hammer Utd in the 1st Round of the Surrey County Intermediate Cup at Park Lane.
Reigate Priory Lions continued their winning ways with a convincing win over Guildford Albion 5-0 in the 1st Round of the Surrey Cup.
2nd November 2009 -A confidence building result as Priory beat Croydon Greenside 2-1 at the weekend. Priory openened the scoring through Fisher and held their lead up to half time. Greenside equalised through a penalty. Dean Abbott made it 2-1 with ten mins remaining and Priory held out for a valuable three points. Priory Reserves moved into the second round of the County Cup as their opponents were unable to raise a team. Priory As achieved a point in a 2-2 draw against Heath OB , however the Bees suffered a 3-0 loss to Court Lodge. Priory Lions went second in the table with a 3-0 win over Fetcham Utd.
26th October 2009 -Priory secured passage to the quarter finals of the Elite Challenge Cup with a convincing win over Elite strugglers Esher with 4 goal from Luke Reid and 2 from Dean Abbot. Priory Reserves were in a 6 goal thriller and almost achieved their first win with goals from Charles Read and Reg Wright. The As exited the Surrey Cup losing 6-2 to Merrow A , and the Bees went down 10-1 to Godstone. Priory Lions achieved a good victory over Epsom Eagles on sunday 1-0.
19th October 2009 -Priory took on Elite Table toppers Battersea Ironsides and gave them a close game , just losing 2-1 on the day. Priory Reserves had a tough away trip to Elm Grove and were convincingly beaten 5-1 by the Division leaders. Priory As were in a close game against Alliance losing 3-2 and the Bees enjoyed the only point of the day with a 3-3 draw against Westcott 35 Reserves. Priory Lions played against FC Tolworth and were undone by the same same scoreline as the previous week losing 2-1 to the Division leaders..
4th October 2009 -Despite taking a 1-0 lead Priory were unable to earn points as Horsley secured a 3-1 victory at Park Lane this weekend. Priory Reserves were on their travells to Spelthorne Sports. Two goals from Matt Keeling were not enough as the Reserves went down 3-2. Priory A had another tough day at the office losing 4-0 to Warlingham B. On a brighter note Chris Comben is going for Manager of the Month as the Bees notch up their 3rd consecutive league win 4-3 over Merstham C.Priory Lions also maintained their impressive start with a 5-2 win over Brockham Green.
27th September 2009 -Priory 1sts just lost out 3-2 to high flying Tongham at the weekend as they work to improve results. Priory Reserves put in an improved performance but were not good enough against Elm Grove as they lost 3-0. The 'A's and 'Bs' were involved in Cup games , but failed to progress with the As losing 7-0 to Merstham Newton Reserves and the Bs going down 3-1 to the Plough. Reigate Priory Lions maintained their 100% record with a 2-1 win over Epsom Rangers.
On the Social front the Clubs Footballers Wives Disco raised funds for the club. Many Thanks to all those that supported the evening. The next event is Halloween on Saturday 31st October.
20th September 2009 -Five first half goals from Luke Reid sent Priory well on their way to their first win of the season against Esher on saturday. This represented Priorys biggest win since joing the Elite and provides a much needed boost to confidence ahead of nexts weeks tough encounter away to Tongham. Priory Reserves again conceded in the first few minutes of their game away to Battersea Ironsides giving themselves an uphill struggle. Ironsides went on to win 5-0. Priory 'A's started their season away to a strong Holland Sports Reserves and went down 5-0. Combo's Priory Bees made it two wins in two as they overcame Nutfield 'A' 1-0.
13th September 2009 -Priory 1st team achieved their first point of the season in a 3-3 draw away to Epsom Athletic. After last weeks dissapointing result this was positive progress and lifts Priory off the bottom of the Elite League Premier. Priory Reserves were less fortunate. Despite many forced changes from the previous weeks line up , Priory looked in control at half time with a 1-0 lead. However, in a 20 min period Epsom Eagles fired in 4 goals and despite a late effort from Keeling Priory eventually lost 4-2. Priory Bs opened their account in Division 5 of the Redhill & District with a 6-0 victory away to Horley AFC Reserves.
6th September 2009 -Priory were unable to make any kind of impact in saturdays fixture home to Wandgas Sports , played at Coulsdon Utd, as they suffered their heaviest defeat since moving into the league. Priory Reserves put in a hard working performance and took a point as they drew away to Ripley Village Reserves. Two penalties from Matt Keeling and a great team performance made Priory deserving of their point.
31st August 2009 -Priory had a great opportunity to get three points in their fixture against Woodmansterne Hyde but were unable to hold on to their 2-1 advantage. Priory having gone 1-0 down in the first half overcame this deficit with goals from Ben Hills and Dale Fisher. Priory had some great chances to extend their lead but porr finishing let them down. Woodmansterne equalised and then delivered the final blow to run out 3-2 winners.
30th August 2009 -Priory played their opening fixture of the new season away to Croydon Greenside. Despite showing some early promise Priory went down 4-0. Priory have the opportunity to bounce back on Bank Holiday Monday against Woodmansterne Hyde (11am KO at Coulsdon Utd Ground). Priory Reserves came back to earth suffering a 7-0 away defeat to Crawley Premier side FG Galaxy. Priory Lions continued their preparation with a 6-0 win over Royal Admiral AFC.
26th August 2009 -Reigate Priorys 2009/10 Season comences this saturday as the clubs 1st Team have a tough opening away game at Croydon Greenside. Priory Reserves continue their preseason friendlies aginst FG Galaxy who have been promoted to the Crawley & District Premier Division.There have been many changes preseason with numerous additions to the clubs 1st and Reserve Team Squads. The As & Bs have also upping their game under the new management team of Kelvin Becket and Chris Comben. With this seasons introduction of the sunday side Reigate Priory Lions and with the Vets continuing on a Friendly basis the club is able to provide football to a wider range of levels. The Youth Section has seen the greatest increase with some great work undertaken by the Clubs Director of Youth Football , Richard Stephen and Youth Secretary Pete Shearman. This Season the club is pleased to offer football to Age Groups U14,U12,U11A,U11B,U10A,U10B,U9 with a soccer school for the U8s.
23rd August 2009 -Reigate Priory completed their preseason preparation suferring a 4-0 defeat away to Old Dorkinians at the weekend. Priory start their Elite Campaign away to Croydon Greenside on saturday followed by a fixture Bank Holiday Monday against Woodmansterne Hyde. Priory Reserves put in a good performance away to Nutfield achieving a 1-1 draw with a goal from Dale Fisher.
16th August 2009 -Reigate Priory suffered a 6-2 defeat away to South Godstone on saturday. Priory Reserves were in their first action of the campaign and ran out 2-1 victors with a brace from Matt Keeling. Reigate Priory Lions had a good win against Blueacre from Division One of the Redhill & District Sunday League winning 2-1.
9th August 2009 -Reigate Priory Lions continued their friendly programme with a 17-0 victory over RH123 Athletic(Sunday) at the weekend. Priory Lions already have some Silver Ware in the Cabinet winning the AFC Corinthians 6 a side Tournament.
9th August 2009 -Priory continued their preseason away to Dorking Wanderers from the Sussex County League Div 3. Priry started brightly but conceeded two goals in a ten minute spell. However , Priory showed good spirit and determination to work themselves back into the game. Priory second half performance was far more creative and deserved their goal. Priory had numerous chances to get the equaliser but just failed to have that cutting edge infront of goal to score a derserved equaliser. However , signs are good and much for Priory to build on as they visit South Godstone next week. Priory Reserves are away to Old Dorkinians Reserves.
Priory' 'A' Team were in action at the weekend and were just on the wrong side of a 3-2 result away to Monotype .
2nd August 2009 -Priorys new squad put in good performance as they took on Coulsdon Utd from the Combined Counties League. Priory were much more competitive in the tackle and this set the tone for a balanced performance. Hills went close after 10 minutes as his header just missed the target. Luke Reid had a golden opportunity in the second half as his pace set him free of his marker but the keeper smothered well. Next week sees Priory 1sts and Reserves in action at Dorking Wanderers.
26th July 2009 -Priorys Preseason match schedule starts next weekend with a visit to Coulsdon Utd from the Combined Counties League. Priory have four friendlies with other games against Dorking Wanderers, South Godstone and Old Dorkinians. Priorys opening game of the season is Bank Holiday Monday against Woodmansterne Hyde. Priory Reserves first friendly is away to Dorking Wanderers Reserves on the 8th August.

20th July 2009 -Priory will continue with its Vets programme next season building a schedule of friendlies. I'm sure a Chairmans XI will be featuring at some point. Games have ben agreed with Nutfield and Old Rutlishians so far.
19th July 2009 -With preseason preparation well on the way there is still time for new players to join the club as it prepares for the new season. With an expanding Senior & Youth Section, Reigate Priory are confident they are able to cater for players of a wide range of ability. In difficult economic times the club would also welcome sponsorship and with this in mind would like to thank J Mizon & Sons Ltd for their recent contribution.
1st June 2009 -Following the clubs AGM on the 28th May , the club were pleased to conclude last season with many succeses. Priory achieved their survival aim for the Surrey Elite League and now start to strengthen for the new season. For the new season Priory look forward to the addition of Reigate Priory Lions playing at Park Lane on Sunday mornings, managed by Ollie OBoyle. There are some changes to the saturday management structure. Kelvin Becket takes on the roll of 'A' Team Manager. Simon Avery moves in to co manage the reserves with Nigel Lomas. The Club wish to thank Italo Vezza who steps down from co managing the reserves, and also Stuart Porte who managed the 'A's who has decided to concerntrate on playing.
Director of Football Youth , Richard Stephen, was pleased to announce a growth in the the Youth Sides for next season,details to post shortly .
17th May 2009 -Following discussions with Sunday side White Lion FC , the club are pleased to welcome White Lion FC into Reigate Priory FC. The team will be named as Reigate Priory Lions and subject to League AGMs etc will play in the Leatherhead & District Sunday Football League. Priory are really pleased with the addition of another quality side into the club which opens up the opportunity for sunday senior football at the club for the first time in many years. More details will be available shortly.
17th May 2009 -Priory Reserves had the honour of playing the last club game of the 2008/09 season , beating Bedfont Sports Reserves 2-1 in the process. Goals from Dave Williams and Charles Read sealed the points.
Priory now begin their preparation for another season in the Elite League and undoubtedly need to strenghen to compete further up the table. Players interested in joining Priory for next season for any of the clubs teams should go to contacts link.
10th May 2009 -With the Woodmansterne result filtering through the club were pleased to know they had survived their first season in the Surrey Elite Intermediate League. This news added a bit of spice to the evening presentations as senior players gathered to enjoy a bit of banter during the clubs Annual Presentation Evening. Followed by a session of Karaoke the evening was a great success. Player of the Year awards went to Karl Paddley, Paul Hamilton,Justin Brandon and Will Blake. A special award was presented to Italo Vezza for his long service to the club over the last 9 years. Italo stands down as Reserve Team Co Manager, but I'm sure - he'll be back !!
On the preceding afternoon, Priory Reserves took on Priory All Stars in a 2pm KO at Coulsdon Utd ground. Priory All Stars won 3-0 with goals from Chris Page (2) and Karl Paddley (1). ( If only the DOF could have made that header!!!!! )
6th May 2009 -Congratulations to Battersea Ironsides on their Surrey Intermediate Cup victory over Bletchingley 3-1. With the Surrey Elite League scheduled to finish on the 16th May , championship and relegation issues are still unresolved. Wraysburys exit from their final fixtures makes for an interesting finish to the Championship. With Battersea Ironsides in the running for the title , their final fixture against Woodmamsterne will dictate Priorys fate. An Ironsides win keeps Priory outside the relegation zone.
4th May 2009 -Priory entered two teams into the South Park six a side on Bank Holiday Monday.
